Lisa

I remember listening
To those who said she'd grow out of it
Knowing I was watching
My child grow into it

It became a part of Lisa
This syndrome called RTS
You can see it in her walk
You can see it in her smile

It's a part that keeps her young
It has brought her pain
And brought her laughter
And a heart that's like no other

Watching her slowly discover the world
Please world don't cause her pain
Right now her arms are open
Along with that heart of hers

That heart that's like no other
Open to everyone she sees
A heart that can bring so much joy
A heart that can feel so much hurt

How has RTS affected me?
Lisa is a beautiful part of me.
She's brought a special love
Into the soul of me

It's how it affects you
That worries me
Will you accept her
And Let her be?

Will you look inside
Or move away?
See I know what she'll feel
If you do not stay.

So open your eyes,
Open your mind,
Open your heart
And Lisa will be fine.
