Lisa Wardlow. What can I say about her? She is my sister! I love her! Lisa
Wardlow is a beautiful girl, and wasn't expected to grow up and do much with her life, but that description is no where near close.
When Lisa was born many thoughts were passing through my head. Keep in
mind I just turned six, five months previous to her birth. Now come on, what do you think could be going on in a six year old's head? I was a bit
uncomfortable, to say the least. I thought Lisa would just be another person in the family that would take away from my young need to have everything in the
house revolve around me. But that didn't happen (Thanks Kayla, Shaynna, Lisa and Reyna). Another thought that was running through my mind was that
now it would be even harder fitting in to the new home, that we had just moved to not even a year previous to her birth. These thoughts seemed
overwhelmingly stressful for a six year old, don't you think? Well I think it was.
The times I have had with Lisa have been nothing but terrific. Lisa and I even have our own special
handshake. It's our "special" handshake, because that is what Lisa is, she is not handicapped. She is
special! Lisa loves baseball, it's her favorite sport. Yes, sport, and yes, she is a girl, but she loves
sports. So immediately we connected. But that's not the real reason we connected. I love her, I think
she is the most beautiful baby in the world, sorry Alia (my girlfriend), but Lisa was, and is very, very beautiful. Lisa and I did so much together when she was young, in fact I am technically the one who
taught her how to talk. Lisa was always mumbling gibberish, and I heard from a smart person (My Mommy), that repeating a child when they are mumbling helps them learn to talk. By repeating them you
are actually talking to them in their language.
Now, as I grow older Lisa and I don't do much together, partly because I am busy and partly because I am
lazy. We are still the best of best friends though. She refers to me as her "favorite brother", which I know
I am. I am her only brother too, but that is besides the point. Let me have my fun. Lisa has some
problems with scratching and swearing, but as far as I am concerned it's a stage she will grow out of with time.
Lisa has been a major part of my life, as well as everyone else's in this family. Without Lisa I don't know
what I would do, and I'm sure I speak for the entire family on this one. Lisa is my baby girl, and she always will be. I love you baby.
